Tryouts for the 2012-2013 Season
will be held during the
1st week of June, 2012.

Do we need to make both tryout dates?
To ensure proper evaluation of your child, please have them at both tryout dates.

What do we need to bring to tryouts?
Bring both the forms above (IYSA Medical Release & Registration Form) along with the 15$ Registration Fee.

Note: The IYSA Medical Release Form and the MRSC Registration Form will be on hand at tryouts if you elect to fill them out at the fields before the tryouts.

How many teams do you plan to have next season?
Boys: U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15
Girls: U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15

What is the season (fall & spring) fees?
U8-U9 Season Fees $550
fee due as follows: $150 due 7/1/11; $200 due 9/1/11; $200 due 2/1/12

U10-U15 Season Fees $700
fee due as follows: $150 due 7/1/11; $275 due 9/1/11; $275 due 2/1/12

Uniform fee $125 includes:
2 jerseys
2 practice t-shirts
1 shorts
2 pairs of socks
*Additional Reign apparel items also available for purchase

Are you considering hosting a tournament?
Yes, it is our goal to host a tournament by the Spring of 2012.

What is the club philosophy on “playing up”?
Midwest Reign, because it functions like a true soccer club, will implemented a practice where players, at the coach's discretion, can invite the top player(s) from their team to train once a week with the older 'A" team. Like-wise, the top player(s) on the respective "B" teams can also be invited to train with the "A" team. This policy allows us to give the top players in our club a complete developmental experience (being one of the top players in training and being one of the middle or bottom players in training).
We do have a small number of players who do play up. If it’s determined that some players 'need' to play up (often in the Young age groups). Many of our players 'can' play up, but the ones we move are the ones who 'need' to move up. This is obviously very subjective and we do our best to apply the policy fairly.

How many tournaments per season?
Teams can play in 8 tournaments a year (4 in the fall season & 4 in the spring season)
or
Teams can play 6 tournaments and 2-league conference plays (MRL / CIYSL) per season.
(3 Tournaments and league conference play in the fall season and & 3 Tournaments and league conference play in the spring season)

Will the teams participate in a league?
We base the tournaments and league off of the individual team so the competition is appropriate.

Practice days and time TBD by Coach.
-2 days a week for 2 hours

Is indoor training mandatory and what is the cost?
Indoor Training is not mandatory. However, it is recommended and
Cost is TBD (approximately $100.00)

Who will be the coach of each team?
We will identify when we determine what teams we comprise.

-We have two new coaches that will be coaching this coming year and might be hiring a few more, as need dictates. We are very particular about our coaches and only hire the most qualified based on playing and coaching experience. We’re focused on providing quality coaches to teach technical skills, tactics, and a love for the game. We are not interested in growing into the biggest club in IL, but instead prefer to be the best and provide the highest quality possible.
